Waking up at 3 'o clock, taking a bath, fixing our hair, putting some make-ups, ironing clothes, downloading (news) videos, searching some facts, and checking all the materials, then, we're ready to go.

(yep, we didn't have our breakfast.)

It was 9 o' clock in the morning when the facilitators told us to go to the school's conference hall as the judges will have an orientation about the said category. Since I'm one of the former TV Broadcasting member, I saw my face, my short video clip compiled by the judges as they showcase the hard work of the team to get through the National School's Press Conference last year.

Then the contest started.

We were just chilled trying to relax our nerves while thinking for the right line-up, slugs, writing our scripts, doing our shootings, and editing our AV's.

"Joash relax." This was one of the funniest moment of Shekina as she tried to calm Joash who was in-charge to control the prompter during our tape as live. Our SPA's who were watching and the judges also giggled that time.

After beating the time for editing the whole broadcast production, we went back to the conference hall to watch all the produced outputs from the different divisions.

We were in awe as Batangas City's output was really great (since they were trained by the judges for a week. lol.*bitttteeerrr* jk.)

Then the result came...

Lemuel got 2nd place for the Developmental Communication Specialist

Krissy got 3rd place for Best TV Scriptwriter

Airah placed 2nd for the Best Technical Application Specialist

Coleen got 5th Best News Presenter

Joash and I tied on the 2nd place for Best News Presenter

Shekina who was in triple tie got the 2nd place for Best Anchor.

We got the 4th Best TV set-up

and placed 2nd Best TV Broadcasting Group in English Category.

But here's the saddest part, the judges decided to have a composite selection to complete the team for the National School's Press Conference to be held in Dumaguete. They were announcing the names who were chosen to represent the region and yeah, unfortunately I didn't make it. :( I got sad and have that teary-eyed moment as both judges came to us and hugged us telling that we did a great job and it just so happened that they need to give others a chance.

So we went back to the quarters, faking a smile to motivate the Filipino group who will compete the other day.

The bitter side of me

" I NEVER THOUGHT THAT SOME OF THE SELECTED MEMBERS WHOM I THINK DIDN'T HAVE THE GREATEST PERFORMANCE MADE IT TO REPRESENT THE REGION." "VERY UNDESERVING." "IT SEEMS LIKE IT REALLY GOES WITH THE MONEY." "BIASED JURORS."

Yep! we rant! lol!



But despite of what happened, atleast we had FUN, and met new circle of friends.
